Autonomy and collaboration. Super specialists

Some people talk too much!

Some people don’t say much at all!

It’s not that there is a right or a wrong to it.

I love that everyone has different styles.

What I note though is style of communications are important to understand when working together and or collaborating towards and outcome.

There is this plump juicy place of communication. It’s the sweetest of spots.

Some people have become so specialised and so skilled, and are in incredible autonomous int he work that they do, Aligning with them can be very challenging.

They are so used to solving everything on their own that it seems they have lost trust for anyone else’s input on their significant tasks.

Most people will still accept support and administrative help though. Clean up, feed them , get thin supplies, but just don’t come near their main squeeze.

An example that comes to mind is a surgeon. They are super specialise, and they are stereotypes as having a God complex.

You know what though, maybe that’s ok. They do have someones life in their hands they do have to have an extremely specific body of knowledge. (pun intended)

So how can we benefit and grown collectively from these super specialist people.

How can we communicate with them in a way that contributed to the process and helps us all elevate even high beyond the efforts of just one.

Or are we only able to watch on in awe, and maybe learn from their mastery?

Do you work or live with super specialist?

How do you find alignment in you communication with them?
