Structures required for basic Human needs to allow for expansion
Our lives are often complex and nuanced, filler with stuff and activity. So too are our homes and desks.
How much of this do we need.
How much of this is adding to our experience, and then what is getting in our way and inhibiting our experience and getting to a place where we can really thrive and express ourselves.
Usually I work in an office, live in a house. Filled with plenty of thing to wear, do and play with.
At the moment on I’m traveling part of Australia in a Van. I have charged phone with some reception most of the time. Everything else is pretty basic, we have water and food, but nothing to cook with at the moment.
Initially the change was unsettling. 4 days in and I find a comfortability in a change to boundaries.
Outdoor public spaces feel more comfortable inhabiting as my living room.
There is a simplification of physical human needs.
I know I need;
sleep
water
food
shelter
I know I like;
Beautiful nature. All the better if I can swim in it!
Good company for interesting conversations.
And some time to be creative.
The simplification of life is starting to provide me more opportunity to think more creatively, and to just existing as I am. The noise of a busy city life drifts away.
My presence sits far more with my body and what I am experiencing. Aware of the heat, the cold, the wind, the changing light in the sky.
What are the basic needs for us humans to physically exist and be fulfilling so that much of our energy can be spent on the creating our full expression and contributing from our wholeness to the world.
What things, and possibly people do we bring or accept into our lives that either distract us from this or add to this.
